Gender Equality with #JuanWash

Because stain removal knows no gender In Filipino households, doing the laundry is traditionally seen as a woman’s sole responsibility. Thanks to the shift in people’s mindsets, aided by Ariel’s progressive #JuanWash campaign, that backwards thinking will soon be a thing of the past. Recognizing that chores can be done by anyone, Ariel rolled out the #JuanWash campaign which is targeted towards men. Its goal is straightforward and goes right into the heart of the matter –to get men to do their share of laundry duties, one wash at a time. For Ariel men, this goes beyond simply doing the laundry, as it also shows their support to their wives, and molds their children into understanding the equal role of men and women in doing the household chores. As the first detergent to invite men to do their part of the housework, Ariel assembled several celebrity #JuanWash ambassadors.  Launched online last September 1, 2017, the #JuanWash campaign not only celebrated those men who have done the

The Mega Malunggay Media Launch

One Healthy Mindset At a Time It was a very special day for VPharma Inc. as they held the Mega Malunggay Media Launch at The Parenting Emporium.  It was an honor to be invited because Mega Malunggay has helped me in my breastfeeding journey.  And in a few months from now, we will welcome another bundle of joy in our family which means I will be using Mega Malunggay capsules more frequently to help boost my milk supply. My invite to the Mega Malunggay Media Launch Vince Dy, owner of VPharma, has always been fascinated with healthy supplements and natural alternatives.  He recalled those days when he would enjoy tagging along with his mom to the pharmacy.  Even during out of town trips, he would visit local pharmacies to scout for unique remedies, and they would bring these home to add to his collection.  He was definitely not a typical boy.  After graduation, he pursued this passion and decided to learn more about natural supplements.    The guests were gre

The One Who Escaped

Stories of a Twenty-Something Girl Thursday, March 01, 2012 The One Who Escaped I was hanging out with a friend when Adele’s Someone Like You and Katy Perry’s The One That Got Away were played consecutively. I asked her, do you have someone who got away? I was surprised when she said no. You see, this friend of mine had her fair share of relationships. Thus, I was expecting that she would reminisce and tell me a sad story with a longing look on her face. “This ex-boyfriend of mine always tells me that I’m the one who got away,” my friend told me. “Well, I’m the one who escaped,” she added.  It’s because this friend had always been the better half in her relationships. They had her, they lost her. One boyfriend was an alcoholic, one was a two-timer, one was a control freak, a

The Mommily App

We moms have a lot of things in our head and our plates are full most of the time.  That's why we are always in the lookout for products or things that can make lives easier for us. During those times when we are already frazzled,  even the simplest tasks like trying to figure out where the breastfeeding station is, can increase our stress level.  I know you have seen a mom who looks lost trying to figure out where to go, especially a mom who is alone and by herself.  And it's understandable how the situation can be overwhelming for her- just imagine that you have a baby in tow who won't stop crying while you try your best to finish your errands.  Plus strangers throw you a questioning look- why can't this lady make her baby stop crying?  Who wouldn't be rattled, right? Parenting or mommy mobile apps can be lifesavers.  It's a good thing that a Filipino mommy thought of an app for Filipino moms.   What is Mommily?  "Mommily is an app that en

Global Handwashing Day

Alden Richards spreads the love (not the germs) through a new song Safeguard and the Pambansang Bae team up to remind Filipino to wash their hands In this year’s Global Handwashing Day celebration, Safeguard has partnered with one of the most prominent personalities in the country today to bring attention to the importance of proper and habitual handwashing. The nation’s leading soap together with the “Pambasang Bae” Alden Richards join forces to educate Filipinos on the importance of handwashing through the power of a song. Alden himself sang the handwashing song and invites every Filipino to make it a habit to unfailingly wash their hands with Safeguard in these 5 “ hugas non-negotiables” -- before “mano”, after using the toilet, before eating, after playing and before bonding. And more importantly, to spread the love and not the germs this holiday season. If you’ve ever wondered the kind of impact personal hygiene really makes on the spread of germs and general health o
