Laundry Hacks and Tips for the Rainy Season

It's rainy season again. Doing laundry can be challenging for us mommas so I got inspired to make a list of my laundry hacks.

1. Even before the actual chore starts, you can make it easier by assigning designated hampers. Organizing your family's dirty clothes at the onset can be time saving. It will be brilliant to designate a hamper for whites, colored items, delicate fabric, etc.

2. Always make sure to put delicate clothing in a gentle cycle. Also, take note of items that you should not wring (like bras) to avoid damaging them.
3. In relation to number 2, always check the labels or washing instructions of your clothing- the info indicates the products’ fiber content and how to wash them properly.

4. A nice trick if you are in a hurry to dry your clothes is to add a clean, dry towel to the load. It will dry the clothes in a short amount of time.
5. For clothes that were not heavily used, you can opt for a shorter wash cycle (5 to 10 minutes) to save on electricity.
6. Cleaning the washing machine itself is important too! You can use baking soda and vinegar. And also an old toothbrush to remove the dirt that stuck to your machine.
7. When it comes to bed sheets, remove them from the dryer while still damp. This will make them easier to iron out. Also, you can wash sheets in hot water if they contain body oils and soil.
8. Kulob is a number 1 concern during rainy season. No one wants to wear kulob-smelling clothes. To keep clothes smelling fresh, use Downy Expert Kontra Kulob. Make sure to use it, otherwise you might just waste time and re-do your laundry if they end up kulob-smelling.

How about you? What are your tips and hacks?
