Ever since I became a mom, most of my days are spent at home, especially now that we don't have a helper. I get to leave the house maybe once a week- when we go to the mall, eat out, or attend an event. I want to look decent during these times, but it is quite a struggle. It's hard to concentrate on putting makeup when I hear my toddler crying- she is so clingy to me and always looks for me when I leave her sight. Oh, the struggles of a stay-at-home mom with young children!
So for me, the fewer steps, the better. I know I need a full coverage, but it is simply not doable. I need something that works- but still low maintenance. So sunblock, powder, and lip tint it is for me!
For loose powder, it is very important to me that the product is safe of allergens and parabens. Why? Because I am a breastfeeding mom. Another reason is that most of the time, I put powder on my face when I am in the car on our way to somewhere. I am with my toddler 24/7 so I don't want her to be exposed to unsafe ingredients.

I like how their Satin Stain Lip/Cheek Gel is elegantly packaged. I got the Garnet shade; the label on the box indicates "earthy warm red brown tone". It looks more of an orange-y shade on my lips, which I think is not that flattering for my skin tone. I will just purchase a different shade next time. It has moisturizing aloe vera and rose water extracts. I was not able to test yet if it really stains all day as I ate snacks 3 hours after I applied it on my lips, so the lip gel got wiped off as expected.
I also used the Multipurpose Loose Powder (Iridescent White to Pink Satin Finish) to add a little color and shimmer to my cheeks. This can also be used on eyes and lips.
A great thing to note about Ellana is that their products are infused with skin care vitamins that will help improve skin with longer wear. Perfect for moms like me who have no time for a complicated skin care regimen.
